This photo is part of the series - Pictures Around Puerto Vallarta - shots that show the beauty, energy, and warmth of our little corner of paradise.
I took this photo from the breakwater in the Nuevo Vallarta Marina on August 4, 2008 at about 7:30pm. Anyone who has spent time in Puerto Vallarta knows how spectacular sunsets can be here.
The breakwater is a great vantage point to take in the sunset. Crowds of people come out every evening. At times the sunset is so beautiful that people cheer as the sun dips below the horizon. I have watched hundreds of sunsets in Puerto Vallarta and I never tire of them.
If you are not sure how to get to the marina in Nuevo Vallarta check out the map below. Nuevo Vallarta is just north of the airport.

stunning pictures and very nice blog overall. i would love to go there and see the sunset myself, but until then your pictures will have to do.
The sunsets really are great. Hope you get a chance to see them soon. I’m glad you like the blog. Cheers.
great blog
we never tire of the sunsets whether on los muertos
from up in the hills or in bucerias
this year perhaps we will see what is going on in nuevo
The breakwater in Nuevo Vallarta is one of my favorite spots to watch a sunset, although, really anywhere in the bay is a great spot. The beach at Los Muertos is a favorite too.
