I have been to many taquerias in Puerto Vallarta, as well as Guadalajara, Mexico City, and several other places north of the border in Texas… and I must say… El Carboncito has THE BEST tacos al pastor that I have EVER had! Sorry PEPE’s — yours are great, but El Carboncito’s are AMAZING! Order tacos al pastor con todo — and don’t forget to throw on some of the bright orange salsa!

Dr. Margaine was my doctor for a couple of years until he accidentally re-aligned my jaw during an adjustment Now my top jaw and my bottom jaw do not match-up and my bite is way off.
When I told him about it on the next visit he said that that wasn’t possible. Since then I have contacted several chiropractors in the states who have informed me that it is possible if the adjustment was not done right. Dr. Margaine has turned me off to chiropractors for life.

We visited PV in Sept 1995, and I think we visited El Carboncito, it was as good as you say, the only thing I remember that they also served cerveza, which you say they do not do now. We are going to visit on a cruise Jan 25 2010, and want to try it again, great food, we drove from LA and got into PV after midnight, and enjoyed it, I think it was open 24/7
The VERY BEST tacos we have ever had ,anywhere.

We discovered El Carboncito during our last trip to Puerto Vallarta in February 09. We ended up eating there three times and were amazed each time at the taste and quality of the food. The tacos and all drinks (non-alcoholic) are 10 pesos each. I noticed above their hours start at 8:30 P. I know we were there at 7P and they were open. Don’t make a trip to PV without stopping at El Carboncito.

I have been treated for the past year by a Dr. Oscar Margain, we call him Dr. O! That is how good he is…hahaha… and just wanted those of you who are dealing with any kind of pain, that he is the ONLY Chiropractor in town who is legally certified here in Vallarta. That was a biggie for me to know…I don´t want just anyone working on me! Dr. O studied in Iowa and has been practicing for 25 years… I visited him at his office out by nuevo vallarta where I stay, and when I am in town shopping I can go to him on Jesus Langarica street that is like a block from the boardwalk…Dr. O even makes house calls!!! He is one of those noble doctors who goes beyond . . . so since I have 100% rehabilitation and can walk now…(I was told in the states that I needed surgery)….I HIGHLY recommend him!! Thanks Dr. O
