Best Take-Out Sushi in Puerto Vallarta
Iwaki Sushi in Colonia Versalles is the restaurant we go to more than any other in Vallarta. It’s a tiny one person operation with one table and two barstools in an out-of the-way location behind the Cine Versalles. I’m not even sure how we found it but we have been hooked since the first visit.
The menu is mostly sushi with a few noodle dishes and salads. Prices are very reasonable. A shrimp roll costs $30 pesos and the Tampico roll costs $25 pesos. An order of noodles is $25 pesos.
This is the owner, Yamada. He makes you feel welcome every time you go. He has built a loyal clientele that seems to return as often as we do.

Iwaki Sushi is located on Rafael Ozuna street in front of Ernesto’s Good Grub restaurant. Hours are 11:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Saturday.
