Mexico City Style Quesadillas in Marina Vallarta

This Week’s Restaurant: Las Kekas
Type of Food: Antojitos - “Antojitos” translates as little cravings. Antojitos are Mexico’s version of fast food. Typical antojitos are tacos, quesadillas, sopes, flautas. Las Kekas’ specialty is Mexico city style quesadillas which are deep fried instead of being cooked on a griddle.

What we ate:
1 Quesadilla de Flor de Calabaza (Zucchini blossom and cheese)
1 Quesadilla de Papa con Chorizo (Spicy sausage with potato)
1 Quesadilla de Deshebrada (Shredded beef and potatos)
1 Sope de Rajas con Queso (Poblano chiles with cheese)
1 Sope de Pollo con Mole (Chicken with mole sauce)
What we drank:
1 Diet Pepsi
1 Bottle of water
Total cost: $59 Pesos
Comments: When you are looking for a quick, inexpensive meal, Las Kekas fits the bill. The traditional Mexico City style quesadillas are wonderful. My particular favorite is the zucchini blossom and cheese quesadilla.
The quesadillas are typically eaten smothered in cream and salsa with lettuce and pickled onion sprinkled on top. I left these off so that you could see the quesadillas in the picture.

Realmente buenas gracias por la recomendacion, creo que en mi vida ni en el df habiamos comido unas quesadillas tan ricas y que salsas esas si son de verdad.

Gracias por su comentario. A nosotros tambien nos gustan mucho las quesadillas de Las Kekas. Las unicas quesadillas del DF que he probado son las del mercado de comidas en Coyoacan. Eran muy ricas y cuando vi un restaurante de quesadillas del estilo DF aqui en Puerto Vallarta me dio ganas probarlas. Asi encontre a Las Kekas.
