Getting out on foot is the way to see a city because you never know what surprises you might find. Wandering around Gringo Gulch, I discovered Puerto Vallarta’s original lighthouse in what is now a residential neighborhood.
The lighthouse was put into service on August 15, 1932 and decommissioned in June of 1978. The lighthouse was restored as landmark by the 2004-2006 city administration.
