Questions About Puerto Vallarta

Ask Me Questions About Puerto Vallarta

Regularly, people email questions about Puerto Vallarta - where to stay, what to do, my favorite places to eat, etc. I try to answer all the questions people send me although I can’t claim a 100% response rate.

I got to thinking that a better way to handle all of the questions would be to respond to comments on a post. Later I could compile the questions and answers that would become a sort of Puerto Vallarta FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) that I could more easily share.

If you have any questions about Puerto Vallarta that you think might be of general interest, leave them as a comment on this post and I will respond so that all of my readers can benefit.

Great Blog!
I have a question on recycling in PV. I have noticed that two blue recycle bins are located in Sam’s (restaurant area) They clearly indicate you can recycle plastic, aluminum, paper and glass. Each time I take my recycling there, the bins appear to be filled with trash from the restaurant. Are these bins actually for recycling and are there any other locations in PV to recycle?
thanks

The bins are intended for recycling but they don’t get much respect. The Puerto Vallarta Ecological Society has a map and addresses for recycling centers around the city. http://www.grupoecologico.com/reciclaje.htm Their site is the best resource for recycling information related to Puerto Vallarta.

Great Blog! I am interested in finding out the “scoop” about Tower 2000 at Grand Venetian. Why did it take so long to build? someone told me it was going to fall into the ocean. I find that hard to believe. Do you know anything about it?

Diana,
I read in the newspaper that construction was temporarily stopped because the construction permits were being contested. I haven’t seen anything recently so I assume the matter has been settled.
