When you are at the beach in Olas Altas you will be visited by the the vendors selling a variety of foods and snacks. Some of the most popular foods are fish on stick which is called Pescado Sarandeado and shrimp on stick. Both are slow cooked over coals and are eaten with a squirt of lime and a sprinkle of salt.
Pescado Sarandeado is a regional specialty from the state of Nayarit and it’s something you should try while in Puerto Vallarta. It’s a real local dish that hasn’t been modified to appeal to tourists.
