The Book Store – Plaza Caracol

Books in English

Update – The Book Store has expanded. Check out the updated photos. The Book Store Puerto Vallarta

Over the weekend, I stopped in The Book Store in Plaza Caracol to see what was new. Although they had a number of new books that I had my eye on, I didn’t pick up a new book this time because my budget wasn’t cooperating.

The Book Store is the place to go for new English language books. It has the most extensive selection in the bay and the prices are almost the same as you would pay back home. They have recently added more Spanish titles and the owner Tom Barrett says the demand has been very strong.

The store carries a really great selection of books about Mexican art and design. It also carries a good selection of Mexican food cookbooks. Mexicolor is a book I recommend for anyone interested in learning about the role that color plays in Mexican life.

The Book Store is located in Plaza Caracol in front of the Gigante cash registers. (322) 224-1872 thebookstore@aol.com

Hey, glad to hear they’re carrying Spanish titles as that’s what I’m looking for and I’m going to be staying across the street in the Fiesta Americana. Do you happen to know what the best Bookstore in PV is for libros en español?
